High-Capacity Camper Van Electrical System
Owner-designed and built electrical system for a Ram ProMaster 3500 camper van. Featuring a 920Ah lithium battery bank, Victron MultiPlus 3000 inverter/charger, solar charging, and dual 70A/30A DC-DC chargers.Designed to support high-demand loads including air conditioning, induction cooking, and microwave use. This retrofit required integrating a high-capacity electrical system into an existing, space-constrained layout with limited room for equipment placement, wiring, and ventilation.Despite these constraints, the installation incorporates heavy-duty 4/0 cabling, individual battery protection, monitoring, and a custom ventilated electrical cabinet designed for accessibility, serviceability, and long-term maintenance.
Onboard Air Compressor & Suspension Control System
Custom VIAIR 20002 onboard air system installed on a Ram ProMaster 3500 camper van, featuring a 200 PSI continuous-duty compressor, 2.5-gallon air tank, and dual-path rear air suspension controls.The installation integrates the compressor, air reservoir, electrical wiring, circuit protection, and in-cab pressure gauges and controls into the existing vehicle. Components were carefully positioned to accommodate limited mounting space while maintaining accessibility and reliable operation.Designed primarily for convenient rear air suspension adjustment, the system also provides a foundation for onboard compressed-air applications.
